I had the pleasure to play the title role in short film Rosalie alongside French actress Julie Ghallab. This film is part of a series of 12 short film shot in 2024 by film director Jevan Chowdhury.

A desperate woman, Rosalie, spirals into chaos after consuming a large dose of magic mushrooms instead of her medication. Rosalie explores the fragile line between control and chaos in the life of someone teetering on the brink.

This is what Jevan Chowdhury says about the film: "My fear of mushrooms, stemming from a small but terrifying personal experience, was the driving force behind Rosalie. The idea of losing control has always haunted me, and I wanted to explore this fear in a narrative that captures the unpredictable nature of psychedelics.

Rosalie explores the line between control and chaos in the life of someone on the brink. I was drawn to this story because it gives us a raw glimpse into the human psyche under duress, where desperation leads to the unexpected. The film’s central character, Rosalie, represents the battles many face behind closed doors—battles with mental health and the pursuit of normal in a world that often feels anything but.

My intention was to create an atmosphere of tension and unpredictability, allowing the audience to step into Rosalie’s shoes and experience her disorientation and fear.

I hope this film sparks conversations about the often overlooked aspects of mental health and the terrifying potential of losing oneself."

The film is now being submitted to film festivals around the world. You can read more about Rosalie and see the trailer on visiting:
